As you progress through the 90 day emergency program you begin to make plans for a new and maybe a little scary life free from abuse. We are there to help those who qualify with apartment style housing for you and your children.
Transitioning from an abusive situation to one of safety requires dedication to a plan for yourself and your children. Those who qualify for one of the three apartments must have:
worked the 90 day emergency shelter program.
a consistent job and a means to get to and from that job
child care when not in school or when working non-traditional work shifts
able to pay the nominal rent, maintain a budget, pay their bills.
Family Haven currently has 3 apartments, therefore we cannot promise that a unit will be available when your 90 day program ends. We make every effort to work with you to keep you moving forward.
Your time at the transitional housing apartment can be for up to one year.
At the Family Haven Transitional Apartments we maintain this as an anonymous location. We ask that the address not be shared to limit the number of people who know the location.
It is important to remember your emergency plan in the event of a violent encounter.
Based upon timing you and your children will have had up to 15 months within the Family Haven program. During this time you have gained the skills needed to be able to safely live with your children in your own apartment outside of our program.
We know you can do it. Remember IN YOU ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
